GPUGRID Output file 25-TONI_HIVPR_mon_ba19-5-100-RND5646_0_0 for task 25-TONI_HIVPR_mon_ba19-5-100-RND5646_0 absent.

I am getting this error message over and over. For several days I haven't processed any GPUGrid work because of this error.

All my other projects are working just fine.

It looks like there is something seriously wrong. Since no GPU Grid tasks are running correctly, try, a project reset on GPU Grid only and see if that helps.

The only other thing I can think of, if that does not work is that the BOINC install is bent and the permissions are not set properly. But, that is just off the top of my head

With a GTX280 you should have no problem.
Have you followed the instructions on the join section in particular for the installation of the drivers?

Your actual error can be found in the individual task outputs, e.g. here. The "outputfile absent" is jsut a symptom of this error: the GPU-Grid client exits before it even started crunching and thus can't write a proper output file.

Your GPU is (factory?) OC'ed, but your problem looks like a software problem since your WUs don't even start. Did you try a reboot? And power off, wait for >10 mins and power on? Next I'd go for the project reset. Otherwise.. did you upgrade any software just when the problems started?

I should have thought of resetting the project myself! doh!

I have to wait another 24 hours or so to see if that does the trick.

Thank you for your help!

I have reset the project, and rebooted my machine. I am still getting the same error message!

I am now going to change my version of BOINC to something older. I do tend to run the latest experimental versions.

Finger crossed.

Everything was working just fine, been crunching units for several months now. I have the latest nVidia drivers installed.
Right now I am dropping BOINC back a version, see if that does the trick.

You can also try downgrading the driver. We had at least one unpleasant case where someone upgraded to a new NV driver, something broke and then not even downgrading helped..

Well it seems as though the error I am suffering from is part of a larger issue.
Currently some work units are working and other are not. Hopefully this issue will be resolved with future version of the exe.

Thank you all for your help. Fingers crossed abotu the latest drivers and the application start working sweet on all CUDA cards.
