I hate to sound like an anti nvidia dick but what the hell anyone know where to get a telsa for 800 dollars. kinda pisses me off

I do not think you are likely to get a Tesla for less than $1.5k. The PNY nVidia Tesla C1060 is £950.

Unless you need the memory (and we don't) the card seems not that impressive. ONly twice as fast as an 8800???? My GTX295 is 3x faster than my 9800GT which is faster than his 8800 ... Not worth the cost I would not think... and i can run two tasks per 295 card.

This link is.. not recommended. The guy compares a 8800GT with a C1060, which is essentially a GTX 280 with more memory. Anyone surprised he's seeing at least 2 times higher performance?
For GPU-Grid Teslas are a horrible waste of money.
