Can I get team credit and personal BOINC points credit with PS3GRID? If so, how? I managed to get PS3GRID up and running, but the screen went blank, so I tried plugging in a USB keyboard but nothing would bring the screen up again. Last I saw PS3GRID was running.

Well, your account doesn't show a PS3 attached to PS3GRID/GPUGRID, so until you attach to GPUGRID you won't get any credits... ;-)

Did you follow the instructions to install Yellow Dog Linux? - http://www.gpugrid.net/join.php?sys=ps3 And are you sure you aren't talking about Folding@home?

I did the first option. I didn't install a full copy of YDL.

And yes, I am speaking of PS3GRID. How do I attach to my account when the system no longer responds? As I said, I saw the BOINC client up and running.

In your opinion, I should install YDL? I'm a Windows guy, and a total noob with Linux.

I want to clarify, I used the pen drive to load up PS3GRID.

I do not have ISO burning software.

Ok, now I think I understand...

Well, the pendrive image isn't supported anymore because of problems with newer PS3 firmware. If you used it, all the credits would go to the default PS3GRID account and not to your account if you haven't changed anything. That's why I can't see a PS3 in your account info...

The YDL installation on the PS3 is pretty easy. Even I managed it to install it and I was also a "Windows guy" back then. ;-)

Just download the .iso, burn it to a DVD and follow these instructions. A good (and free) burning software is ImgBurn and it can be downloaded here.

OK, ty TB. :)

I got the YDL 6.1 installed.

Then the BOINC client webpage wouldn't work under Firefox.

So, I downloaded under IE on a Windows machine and used the old sneaker network.

One problem. I can't seem to get BOINC installed. I ran install.sh - nada.

So, I ran install.sh from the terminal. Still nothing. What did I do wrong?

Tell me, do I attach to GPUGRID.net, or PS3GRID.net?

The client has not been updated in a while. And it did have a problem determining the actual runtime for wu's. It 'should' run a wu in around 20-24 hours. Maybe a little more...
