I have a new PC. It has an i7 CPU + GTX260 (216 shaders) and I have tried GpuGrid running Windows 7 (64 bits ), Boinc 6.6.28 and Nvidia Driver 185.85. I have got a lot of errors. Only one WU correctly ended and it was a short one (1,381.37 points). I have tried with Folding and it works fine.

I have 8 quads with a total of 10 GTX260s running 182.50 and all wu's are failing. Might have to look at putting them on something else for a while.

Have you tried reinstalling as suggested here?

@ocgbargas
Have you tried with older driver versions? 180 < 18X.XX < 185
Or a reinstall too?

I am on the road and won't be back in my office until around 13:00CET on Thursday. 7 of the machines were running fine with version 178.xx(I think). The other one was running ver. 181.xx. I completely uninstalled the 186.xx driver, rebooted and then installed the 182.50 drivers which are the recommended drivers. After rebooting again and starting Boinc the WUs appeared to start crunching normally. It wasn't until later that I checked to find all the errors.

I think the problem comes from the drivers. Maybe this http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/7144/sinttulot.jpg

I followed these steps. Uninstall the nvidia driver, reboot and boot mode test failure. He passed his driver sweeper and ccleaner to clean up debris. I deleted the nvidia folder on c: and the "nvlddmkm" of folder windows/system32/drivers.
I rebooted normally and I have installed the latest drivers from the nvidia page but I am still going on.
The computer is a new i7 920 with a gtx260. This newly installed W7 64 and it has not overclock

What can I do?

Thank you

I don't know what the problem was but I do know that it seems to have fixed its self. I come back after 3 days gone and all 8 machines are working fine so it was not a driver issue. The admins have said nothing so I guess we'll never know what happened.
