from what i gather, it's just a technical change to keep somewhat up-to-date.... make it more compatible with 190 and future drivers as nvidia releases new drivers once a month. | |

Hello, I can't see how they got the new 2.2 libraries on to our computers because I had on old unit (6.64) and one new unit (6.67) on the machine at the same time and the 2.2 files have the same name as the 2.1 so need to be overwritten. I don't think they have substituded the cuda 2.1 files in the projects folder with the 2.2 files and thus no increase in performance. Here are the entries from client_state.xml: <file_ref> <file_name>cufft.dll.2.2</file_name> <open_name>cufft.dll</open_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>cudart.dll.2.2</file_name> <open_name>cudart.dll</open_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> Have a look in the slot folder for a running task: if the cudafft.dll file (whatever its name is, there should only be one) is over 1 MB in size, it's the v2.2 code. | |
