Since we get CUDA 2.2 work I have a lot of problems with my graphic cards.

One PC with a GTX260 has no valid result since 25. of July

http://www.gpugrid.net/results.php?hostid=32288

This is a ZOTAC GTX260, this card slightly OCed by factory.

Another (GTX295) has heavy temperature problems (up to 105°C) and 3 WUs are crashed today in a row.

http://www.gpugrid.net/results.php?hostid=7785

After changing the driver to the recommended 190.xx I had heavy problems with some PCs. The deinstallation are very difficult, a simple downgrade wasn't possible. Also the system tells, the 186.xx driver is installed, some parts of the 190.xx are still in the system. I needed over 5 hours to downgrade one of my PCs (this with the GTX295).

3 other PCs are running without problems (a GTX280, 2 GTX260).

I've also tried the 185.xx driver on the GTX260 of my wife, but the same problems, no valid WU since 12 days.

The same PC has no problems to crunch AQUA, SETI or Collatz. What's wrong with the new GPUGrid workunits?

I would like to know as well. We cannot reproduce your problems. It just run fine all the time, but this does not mean there is no problem.

I have personally installed and reinstalled 185 and 190 again and again on the same Vista32 host without any problem.

The PC of my wife, the account name is Cebion.

http://www.gpugrid.net/hosts_user.php?userid=5541

I've reinstalled the driver and tested the 186.xx and the 185.xx. Both have the same problem. I've tested the memory with the MEMTESTG80 program, no errors. At the moment she's crunching Collatz and SETI without problems. The only thing I can do is to change the cards, I have 3 GTX260 here.

I've changed the setup of the fan and let the fan run with 85%, so the card is much cooler than the days before, but still the same problem with GPUGrid. Now I have again to wait for midnight to test another configuration. Every day 5 WUs are crashing since 25th of July.

Today I also had 3 crashed WUs on my GTX295 while looking videos.

http://www.gpugrid.net/results.php?hostid=7785

But the next WUs are running fine. Only the temperature on the GTX295 is often very high, Speedfan shows the cores of the GPU with 105°C, RIVATuner shows only 95°C. So I have also changed the minimum fan speed to 85%, now I have 67°C (RIVATuner) and 77°C/75°C (Speedfan) for the both cores of the GTX295.

After changing the GTX260 cards between my PCs I know now, that one of my cards is damaged. This card don't run in another PC, too. The card is damaged since running 4 days with the 190.38 driver. Yesterday this card was in this PC:

hostid 17745

5 WUs crashed.

Before the card was in this PC (other user account, name is Cebion):

hostid 32288

Don't know the reason, but the card don't work since using the 190.38 driver and now can't work solid with any driver in any of our PC's for GPUGrid. The card works on SETI and Collatz without problems. I try now to get a RMA from GALAXY, the manufacturer of this card. Unfortunately my local dealer is broke, so I don't have service over a local dealer.

Hmm, I have 2 PCs working for AQUA, but only CPU WUs. On this PCs I have no problem with GPUGrid. In both PCs are GTX260.

Meanwhile I have build in the PC of my wife a older 8800GT OC and this card works fine. In 2 hours the first WU should be ready. The GTX260 from Galaxy is now on my desk and I wait for a RMA from the European Center of Galaxytech in Poland.
