Released for Windows, Mac and Linux. Here is the change log...

Change Log:

- client: fix to [18945]; we only want to max the overall request with a GPU request if project is anonymous platform AND it has an app for that GPU type

- client: report overall work request as well as per-resource-type requests

- client: add <sched_op_debug> msg for ATI work request

- client: fix crashing bug in proxy autodetect

- client: fix log messages about scheduler RPC work req

- client: missing reset for ATI debt accounting

- client: fix bug where client runs too many CPU jobs

- client: improve the estimation of "busy time" (see 17 July checkin).

If you have 2 CPUs and a 1-day job in EDF mode, the busy time should be zero, not .5 days.

Add a class BUSY_TIME_ESTIMATOR that makes a somewhat better (though still fairly crude) estimate.

- client: in choosing GPU jobs in FIFO order, use job name as tiebreaker if received times are the same. This makes the order deterministic.

- client: update of time stats was broken by [17166]

As mentioned on the last line above, they have fixed an issue where BOINC (supposedly) wasn't accounting for how much time it is on. This has the effect of making it go into EDF mode now that its been fixed. The suggested approach is either:

Let it sort itself out

or as described below in the mailing list by someone else:

Due to a bug, none of the previous v6.10.x-clients updated the <time_stats>, meaning your <on_frac> will take a huge drop on upgrading to v6.10.4.

Personally, my <on_frac> dropped from 1.000000 to 0.122804, but has slowly started increasing again, as it should.

To immediately get back up to "normal" <on_frac> again, stop BOINC, and edit client_state.xml and set <on_frac> to 0.99something.

Seems to have an issue with preempting cuda tasks. I've gone back to 6.10.3 after getting 273 slots occupied. They got to run for all of 3 seconds before being preempted.

The time accounting thing is going to hit you with any post 6.10.3 version. Waiting for 6.10.5 is not going to make it better ...

Well I did adjust the <on_frac> but that didn't help the cuda tasks. Apparently Dr A has worked it out and a fix will be in... that version :-)

Well, it will be interesting if it works ...

The way the latest string has been going, each new version has as bad a problem as the last version.
