Hello All

I am running two XFX Geforce 8800 GT 512's SLI'd together. Almost all of my WUs fail with computation errors, only maybe 10% of them actually complete. Does anyone know what's going on here? Is this a common issue? Here are my specs:

Win 7 RTM x64
MSI x58M MB
Core i7 920

this is one of the logs of one the failed wu's... bold is the problem...

the only thing i could suggest is to disable sli; but that may not be the problem..

sli is of no help to the wu's here at gpugrid at this time.

I am getting a 100% failure rate on WUs running on a notebook Vista system with a 8800M GTS card.

typical mesage I am seeing is:

Hello,

I am running gpugrid on a 8800GT with Win 7 Pro 64 too. (driver 191.07)
Only 2 WU were successful since I moved to this config a month ago. Currently using boinc 6.10.18, 6.6.38 and 6.6.36 before.
Same error type as previous post : computation finished and some output files are absent.

Previously I had Win Vista Ultimate 32 (boinc 6.6.36). Almost all my WU were successful.
With Vista I kept driver 189 because I had general crashes with 190.

With 7 apparently no problem with driver. So is the gpugrid WU error problem coming from gpugrid or from nvidia driver or maybe from both ?

Hope soon, I'll be able to contribute as I did in the past.

Have a look at http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=1489

I have worked out a workaround. Run Boinc 6.6.38 and it will be fine.

My Vista 64bit system has the 8800 in it, the Windows 7 system has a gtx295.

I am running whatever the Nvidia driver download page recommends for each video system.

Hello,

I don't think going back to 6.6.38 will help as the primary reason why I am using 6.10.18 is because many WU failed when I was using 6.6.38.
The problems seem to be related to the graphic card type used and I am not very optimistic for 8800gt owners when I read this :
