I'm failing on all the WU's after upgrading to a 480 today, seti@home works fine but GPUGRID WU's are failing. Any ideas?

I read that the only chance I have of it working is with the Beta WU's, how do I enable download for them?

Just installed a GTX 470, and I'm seeing all tasks error out immediately as well. Driver version is 197.41. Any ideas?

Reported error:

<core_client_version>6.10.43</core_client_version>

Both cards (GTX470 & GTX480) are NOT working at the moment for GPUgrid.

First you must upgrade to boinc-manager 06.10.45 and also the new nvidia-driver 197.41

You can only run beta-jobs at the moment, so you have to change your prerefences in running beta only.

I do not know if seti is really working fine, because all result are not validated as fully correct. Collatz is working OK.

Success!!

Ah -- 6.10.45. Maybe I need to see my optometrist. Significantly faster now on Collatz -- when I run through that work, I'll see if I can pull some of the GPUGRID betas.

Thanks.

How do I get it to pull the Beta WU's?

Uncheck everything except beta in your GPUGrid preferences. I'm not saying there are any betas available now, it's just what you do if you only want to get betas and nothing else. This might leave your card idle if there are no beta WUs immediatley available but they have not straightened out the 480s quite yet anyay. I guess it is your best bet right now instead of throwing a world on Errors and having the server shut you off from any new work for the rest of the day.

Do you mean BOINC displays a higher GFLOPS number now? That was jsut correcting a mistake in the calculation of that rather meaningless number. Actual crunching speed shouldn't be affected by BOINC versions.

Although the Home page suggests that Fermi works for present tasks, this is not presently the case! It might change soon.
The techs will have to write/debug Fermi code. Presently ACEMD Ver 2 tasks do not work. Betas will probably not work either, but if you have a Fermi run the Betas as this will assist the development of a Fermi application, and bring its release that bit closer.

The ACEMD (Ver 1) tasks did work on a Fermi card, but there are no more of these tasks; unfortunately they appear to have run out about a week ago!
Unless the technicians backtrack and release more of these tasks there will not be any normal tasks for Fermi cards until a Fermi app is released. This of course requires the technicians to have a Fermi card, to develop the application. This will hopefully happen next week, thanks to a card donation. Hopefully it won’t be sent via airmail! My guess is that working Betas will be returned within a week.

Actual runtime (12 vs. 14 minutes). I would assume that BOINC is now reporting additional capabilities that Collatz is using.

That's interesting. And 12 mins is 1 min faster than my 4870 - not bad.
