Your computer have failed too many tasks in a row, so it is automatically "blacklisted", that's why you won't receive any tasks for awhile.

I think the default wait period is 24h.

Ok thanks for the information. I will keep the latest drivers that will get the job done. So i will start with re-installing version 295.73 first, and wait 48 hours. If no works is given despite the version change, i will go back 2 versions ans reinstall the version 285.62. I will do what need to be done to be able to support the gpugrid project, as to me, gpugrid is the most humanity profitable of all the gpu-able grid project. But, i hope you will be able to correct this problem in the future, as i will not stand with old display drivers too long, as i am also an everyday gamer, and the latest video update the driver provide are quite noticeable in the latest game like Skyrim. When i say noticeable, i mean that they provide a 45% augmentation of the framerate for the same setting as compared to the 285.62 drivers. I have the hardware to get me happy with the framerate i have now, but as game evolve quite quickly, this will not be the case for too long (+- 1 year max).

You could make a dual boot system, if you separated a 100GB partition for a cruncher Win7 installation, and then you could use your original Win7 for gaming, and update the drivers in it as you please.

I have used Kubuntu for a couple years when i was coding an app in python that i finished 3-4 month ago. I since installed windows7 and started learning VB.net so i'm pretty stuck with win until i will be done with it. I prefer linux, but gaming and vb.net don't let me the choice for now, and i'm really tired of dual boot system, always changing after a gaming or learning session... For now i prefer simply let it run in background 24/7 as boinc do a great job at managing the ressources.

Just a little update to say that all the 295.x drivers don't work, as said in the faq. So i rolled back to the 285.62 as you suggested me in the first post. Now all is returned to the normal.

This is an important update to my first post. After reading a lot through the forum, i found a real solution for the problem. All the latest drivers work without any problem, but you need to make one small change in your windows configuration. I don't know if the same apply to linux, i've not tested it.

This information has been discussed many times over. Further, if you wish to have the latest drivers, it APPEARS the monitor bug issue has been solved in the 3xx series. For 5xx series and below this would be the beta 301.24 version. Myself and others at Einstein@home have tested these drivers and have not had any issues.
