Hi, I'm new at GPUGRID

Most of my wu's end with download error (only 3 valid wus and 29 errors). I have tried resetting the project but I still get an error while downloading. How do I fix this?

I would suggest an upgrade of your BOINC-client to 7.0.28

Kind regards

Alain

Check your antivirus and firewall.

Try restarting your router (off for 3min then on), then restart the system, and from the command line; ipconfig -release, ipconfig -flushdns, ipconfig -renew (if need be).

Might it be a wireless issue?

Your ISP could also be messing with the packets.

Your computers are hidden, which doesn't help with suggestions. Try re-installing Boinc with the data directory on a separate partition. Is it just GPUgrid which has this problem?

Changed settings so computer should not be hidden now. Computer id 120420

Yes, I only have this problem with GPUgrid. Tried connecting to Collatz and downloaded and finished a wu without problems. The cpu is used at WCG. I tried downloading a new WCG-application too (CEP2 - never downloaded to that computer before) and that is also working just fine.

Try detaching from GPUgrid in Boinc then adding back the project. Also, install the latest drivers... 301.42

This is a laptop. It is not recommended to crunch CPU and GPU tasks at the same time on a laptop, because its cooling can't handle that much heat. I know, I have a laptop with a GT630M. You should use some external devices to increase the laptop's cooling. I put some rubber spacers under the laptop to increase the gap between the surface and the laptop.
The download problem could be caused by your ISP by fragmenting the TCP/IP packets, or the WLAN (a driver upgrade is recommended), or by the mobile internet connection.
Could you please tell us what type of internet connection are you using?
