Hey guys,

We've added a new way for users to donate to GPUGRID. We've set ourselves up as an Amazon Associate, and if you click the link in our donations page before making a purchase with Amazon, we'll receive some small percentage of the value of your purchase. This way you can make a donation while going about your normal purchases.

We are also considering updating the advertising banner(s) at the bottom of the page. We will likely keep it non-intrusive, non-annoying text, much as it is now. Certainly no flash animations.

As always, Thanks!

Some of you may notice that this currently only works with the US Amazon(.com) store. In the future we will expand it to automatically work for any country that has an Amazon store. Amazon's rules mandate that we have accounts for each country, so we have to go through the process of setting them up first. It's a bit of a headache. Stay tuned!

Out of curiosity, how much money are you guys making from this partnership with Amazon?

It would be nice to have a report here every month or just every once in a while how much was generated.

I think it should also include user donations, and donations through donate@home.

I see today that there is a link to Amazon.de. I guess it is location depending, but I live in the Netherlands and I buy a lot at our neighbors. A lot of books at Amazon.de so I will now little support via buying as well.

Looks like it's now a location based link, so it should work in any country.
Well done!

For those who (understandably) forget to use the link on the donation page, if you use a bookmark to get to Amazon, you can update that bookmark with the URL of the donation link. That way you never need to remember to come here first.
