Sony has been a bad actor as long as I can remember. They sold the PS3 to many as a dual purpose game console / Linux machine. Universities set up PS3 labs for Linux use. Then Sony unceremoniously pulled the rug out with a firmware update that disabled the Linux functionality. Bad people, bad management. Maybe they'll get hacked again. Remember the PC rootkit installed from every Sony audio CD? Why aren't these people in jail? Because they're rich. | |
