I had a long time watched, that my GTX280 since the application greater than 2.48 is slower than my GTX260². The average runtime was above 36,000 seconds. Now I have the BOINC manager told, don't use more than 99% of CPU time. As a result only 3 CPU tasks are running plus the GPU task. But the first WU after changing was only running 24229.265 s, that's over 11,000 seconds faster then without this setup. | |

Yes, that's how it works best on Windows. Keith and I had pointed that out a few weeks ago that the app runs faster if you run only 3 CPU tasks plus the GPUGRID task on a Quadcore... | |

Is it best to set the BOINC CPU usage at 99% or 75%(as I read elsewhere) or does it not matter? ... quad core... | |

I haven't tested it, but I have set my Windows Quad to use 75% of the CPUs... | |
