I remember seeing that G80 GPU's are not compatible with GPUGRID, will it work on another project like SETI??

The only way to know for sure is to try it ... as far as I know, on the SaH site, there is no "list" of cards that are known to work, and known not to work ...

You should pose this question over there ...

Yes, G80 cards do work on Folding, Seti and RC5....according to my list....

To run a Cuda project, you need a Cuda enabled GPU. It's a big list. But, basically the 8300 GPU and up are Cuda enabled, plus Tesla and some Quadro GPU's.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

The machine is not mine, its a friend of a friends and I was just looking for the heads up...

I probably will never see the machine, so I got him to install BOINC/BAM, and I connected GPUGRID & SETI to the machine to see if either will pull down WU's.

Nope

Thats ok, he's not concerned with GPU crunching, we just thought if we could we would.

Thanks for the replies :)

Couldnt have said it better myself! Just not able to try myself!

The GPU comunity here has a vast knowledge of info, figured I'd get my answer quickly and I sure did :)
