I was listening to itunes and BOINC turned on and it froze. So i just help the power button down to restart and it dosnt boot. It will turn on but the lights are on and noone is home. The MOBO is a XFX 780i and it shows a P5 on the lcd thingy when normaly it shows FF. So do i have a new boat anchor or what??

2x XFX 8800gt
q6600 @ 3.24
4 gigs mushkin
Windows xp 32 bit

Are you sure it's showing P5? P isn't even a character that's supposed to show up.

Have you tried a CMOS reset? The jumper you're looking for should be at the far bottom of the board, just below and forward of the bottom PCI slot.

Right well I opened up my case and started poking around and the power to one of my graphics card had fallen out slightly and i rebooted and it said it was in safe mode and to reset CMOS did it and now its working again.
