Good point, it had been anounced that the old applications were being discontinued!

Perhaps the techs reconsidered and realised that many CC1.1 cards can successfully run 6.17 & 6.18 tasks, and they dont want to lose any more cards from the project.

Although it is fine to run the longer work units with CC1.3 cards (as they are all top end cards and can get through them quite quickly) it makes little sense to lengthen tasks for CC1.1 cards (on average these cards are older, slower and more prone to error)!

It is important to keep us informed of such changes in any case, as a few people have noticed the 6.17 tasks were failing on some CC1.3 cards, and many (not all) have found that 6.03 tasks fail on their CC1.1 card – so the Crunchers need to know what is going on to make the appropriate setting changes and plan for the future.
