I have noted that most of the WUs that I do are duplicated as I apparently miss an unstated, WU deadline; however, I usually always meet the absolute deadline for the WU. Other BOINC projects wait until the absolute WU deadline passes before sending a duplicate WU to another client.

Anyone know what the reasoning is behind duplicating a WU and sending to another client before the absolute WU deadline passes?

Thanks.

Each WU is duplicated after 2 days to a faster host. So you have in average three days before the WU is completed depending on the queue at GPUGRID.
This is to increment throughput for slower WUs.
