Got a strange status on a non-completed task....it said the it was "cancelled by server". The unit had not be started yet on my computer, but was next in queue.

Upon investigation, it turns out that the work unit was assigned to another user on the 30th of October and then to me on the 1st of November. The other user completed the task on the 2nd of November, which probably lead to it being "withdrawn" from my task list.

Is this doubling up of tasks to multiple users common practice for this project?

I've read the FAQ related to this message, but the question still remains; what is the point of sending the same WU (with no previous compute errors) out to multiple users?

The point is to get it back earlier.
