I've been getting this message lately for some reason. I am not sure if it is related to my GPU card (GeForce 9800 GT) or not. I suspect one of my preferences needs to change. What is the fix for this?

Also thinking about upgrading to a better GPU. What is a good GPU for this machine? I would like one of the faster cards.

On what % you set it? I have only a german version of boinc so i cant help ..but you can find it in menu one under the options Tab. I think it will be named as "Use of Processors" in english version? normaly it has nothing to do with your GP because CPU suspension is only when OTHER Program then BOINC uses more then the value you have set.

I would set an CPU % suspension value only on old GamingComputers like mine cos i need every resource i can get ^^ On all other PCs i set it to 0% cos it has a low prio in taskmanger so every program gets the power what it needs.

I did change my preferences for GPU grid as you mentioned. But it does seem odd that I would have to at all. I have my global preferences at BOINCstats set to this:

"Run only when CPU usage is less than: -- No limit"

Not sure why they don't apply here at GPUgrid. I did have separate preferences here for home. Should I keep them?

The message "Suspending computation - CPU usage is too high" is because your System or other apps are using too much CPU time. This can be caused by updates, scans, indexing services, defrags...
You can allow Boinc to run 100% of the time or up to a set percentage of CPU usage, for example 25%

You can change this directly from Boinc Manager (Advanced View):

From the drop-down menu select Advanced, and then Preferences.
Under the processor usage Tab, change the value of,
"While processor usage is less than _ percent".

To prevent this from ever happening, set it to Zero.
Alternatively, you may just want to use a higher percentage such as 80%

When you are using online configuration (when you write it ignores what you have in your boinc manager set) perhaps you set it in your Acount here on gpugrid Homepage to any % ?

OK, i read your post a second time..you set your % per boincstats? not in boinc manager? default it is set to 25% there. Not the best value on a computer you are sitting in front. Set it there to 0% too
