29.6.2011 6:49:49 GPUGRID Restarting task 4-KASHIF_HIVPR_n1_bound_so_ba2_308-23-100-RND5975_2 using acemd2 version 614
29.6.2011 9:26:34 GPUGRID Started download of I71R1-GIANNI_KKFREE4-7-LICENSE
29.6.2011 9:26:47 GPUGRID Finished download of I71R1-GIANNI_KKFREE4-7-I71R1-GIANNI_KKFREE4-6-10-RND1717_7
29.6.2011 9:26:54 GPUGRID Starting I71R1-GIANNI_KKFREE4-7-10-RND1717_1

At 9:26 newly downloaded long-run task was started even that running (short-run) task was not finished yet! Only 96% was done.

I think its because long-run has "higher priority" in boinc.

Thanks for reporting this.

There are three possible configurations that could prevent this:
Keep your cache at zero (not really recommended).
Only run either long or normal tasks, but not both,
In Boinc Manager, Advanced View, open Preferences from the menu (under Advanced for 6.10.60). Set the value for Switch between applications every to 999 minutes; If you run a mix of long and short tasks, and if the short tasks can finish within 16.6h (should on a GTX470) then Boinc won't switch and start running a long task. Even a long task with higher priority should not start before an existing long task finishes (the longest long-tasks take 10h on my GTX470's).
