I am a long-time BOINC user, and for awhile I was successfully completing GPUGRID work units. However, for a long time now I have been getting "Error while computing" errors on all my GPUGRID work units. Other GPU enabled projects, such as PrimeGrid and SETI@Home, are working perfectly.

I have an AlienWare system running Win7 64-bit with an Intel i7 CPU, 12 Gb of RAM, and 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX480 GPUs. I have a multi-HDD system with more than 20 Gb of space on my OS drive.

I updated to the latest BOINC client last weekend.

Any suggestions on how I can start successfully contributing to GPUGRID again?

We'll need more information. Does it start wu and they fail? If so give a link to a couple of them. Your computers are hidden so we can't see any results, you'll have to unhide them.

Since I posted, I updated my CUDA driver. One WU has successfully completed, and others seem to be working properly. I will monitor the progress of the current WUs and report back.

Thanks.

I have now had 4 completed and validated work units, so the problem is resolved. My best hypothesis is that the CUDA driver needed to be updated. Thanks for the help. This thread can be considered closed.

Might have been a corrupt/damaged driver, so a re-install may have worked too.
