Is there a "penalty" for aborted work units?

I am still learning how gpugrid / boinc functions. In so doing, I've aborted more than a few wus over the past week as I configure various machines to best advantage (given that some of them perform other tasks in addition to crunching).

Does an account or device get penalized (or 'validated') based on any factors or is an account / device just one more node in the grid and wus come and go?

I'm not even sure I'm asking the question the right way.

Seriously, there is no penalty in the sense that they deduct credits.

Some projects have a limit (a daily quota) on how many tasks you can receive in a day and if you burn up all those by aborting or getting computation error on them you are not allowed more tasks until next day. There may be such a quota at this project, I'm not sure. Some might say that's a penalty.

Your 550 had some trouble at first but is returning good results now.

Your other cards.... hmmmm..... wait for word from one of the more experienced hands but I think the 8600, 9800 and 8200 might be on the non-recommended list. If so they are probably put to better use at some other project, perhaps SETI@home. At the very least you should go into your website preferences and un-select long run tasks for those cards so they receive only short run tasks because if they work here they aren't fast enough to finish a long run task before the deadline.

Still sorting through boinc profiles and gpugrid-specific settings. I know those other cards are weak so I'll just remove gpugrid from those boxes.
