If the researchers can discuss this. Even though we're currently rolling out CUDA 4.2, 302.59 drivers just released on guru3D contain CUDA 5.

Anything in here for us down the road? Or is this just to be able to take advantage of the Hyper-Q, and other new feature sets on professional GPUs

The CUDA 5 toolkit will be released with the Kepler 2, towards the end of the year. There's support in the release driver but early access versions of the toolkit are only available to registered developers for the moment.
I'm not planning to use any of its new (K2-specific) features immediately, so there's no great fuss to be made over it.
