Well I just built a core 2 quad, and was wanting to buy a card. So I decided that donate @ home was good, so I was thinking ati. I would have posted this on donate at home but they wouldnt let me as I didnt have credits, a forum rule. The problem is the motherboard is pci 1.0 the model is g41m-p23. Yea dunno why i didnt look harder for 2.0 at the time, i think i might have but their was a lack of it on newegg. Also had a budget restriction at the time. Im thinking 7870 would be 2 fast, tell me if im wrong. 7700 series is no good for bitcoins on donate@home, and i was thinking of the 6800 series but its old. So here I am, hopefully someone can tell me best card. I was also wondering how much each bitcoin was worth presently, as i know it flucuates.

well i did the footwork and read a 6950 wouldnt max out 1.0 and 7850 would only be a couple percentage points. So dunno its between those two right now. ones newer, ones cheaper, decisions decisions.

6950, day after tomorrow, unless i change my mind. One was going from he had a card (6950) that almost* maxed pci 1. the other seems a standard response, plus a difference of like 100 dollars. 8D
