Hi everyone,
As some of you may have already noticed, we have updated the badges to include four recent publications. In other words, many of you should have new colored water badges with rankings in your profiles.
In the coming days/weeks we'll be updating the Science pages with details about the new publications, as well as posting here and on the Facebook page to give you all some background about the works.
If you have not received any badges in this round, please note that many of the workunits for this round were performed 1-2 years ago (inlcuding my infamous NATHAN_FAAH workunits, started in September 2011!). These papers have been a long time coming, and we are very glad to finally have the results published. Do not worry if you were not included in this round, because we expect to have another update in the coming months. Lots of good results in the pipeline, we are just trying to get them published.
Finally, just a reminder that GPUGRID accepts donations beyond compute time, and if you're interested you can see how to do so on our Donations page. Of course, the crunching time donated is greatly appreciated.
And as always, thanks and onward.

The rate of publication by the GPUGrid team is inspiring!
Sometimes I lose sight of why I'm crunching, crunching and then I get a glimpse of the research I have been privileged to participate in and it renews my interest and it makes me want to figure out how I can contribute more. I thank the team for their efforts. Those who have moved on, the recent arrivals, and of course those that represent the backbone of this entire project, please stand for a well deserved round of applause and congratulations on your wonderful accomplishments.
With greatest admiration and respect for the work you do and the people you are, thank you again for all your 'smart' work,

I second the comments posted by Steve (Snow Crash). Just wish I could contribute more....

You got some well earned recognition in one publication,
"We thank all the volunteers of GPUGRID who donated GPU computing time to the project." - Yes, that's you!

I think it is very nice from the Project this recognition.
I also think this recognition and the badges are very good for motivating, many times with this BOINC proyects you feel you effort is worthless (sometimes keeping alive the computer crunching is bit annoying). The badges makes you feel you are a little part of it.
Wish only a translation to "normal" language of the papers (just a short resume) to understand better. I feel that reading the papers might be too ambitious.
And a final wish. Somebody already asked a page with the list of all publications. Many people don't read the forums ang go straight through principal pages.

If you click on "Science" on the homepage you get something which I think is what you're looking for: "normal" summaries, assigned to 1 or 2 papers. The page could probably use an update, but it's there :)
