Hi to the scientific team !

I started to make my GPU work in 2008, and since then I split my donation time between folding@home and GPUGRID.

I want to give all my GPU time to GPUGRID but I think your project lack of clarity about the purpose and progress of your research !

Why not feed more often your Facebook page ?

why not create a section "project progress" or another name to clearly inform donors ?

The "news" forum contains little detailed information on current research ?

Thank you for your reading !

Hey verlyol, thanks for your comments.
You can see our publications here: http://multiscalelab.org/gianni/publications?action=show&redirect=Publications
Most of them are thanks to GPUGRID.
There is indeed a lack of information coming out and we desperately need to update our website.
However we try to keep you up-to-date with our publications via badges for example every 6 months or so. The thing is that publications take so long to happen anyway that there is no point in doing this more often.

Project progress would be a rather difficult thing to measure. Problems pop up all the time in science; we need to rerun simulations, rewrite papers, put projects on the background if we get stuck. It's too complicated.

We try to to more outreach and it's in our plans to do more of it but it always works against our research time so we need to calculate the need :D

Thank you very much for your reply Stefan !

I understand very well that it is difficult for you to take time to inform donors, but it is also very important for us to know about how and why we do work our GPU.

Yes definitely. We will try to update the main page in the next months to contain the recent research.
I forgot to add that the group changed drastically last year and so we had new projects starting and the whole thing takes a time to settle. But now we are starting to get some papers again so it will be worth updating the page.
Thanks for all the help!

Thanks for your answer Stefan. I agree with verlyol. I split my work with other projects too.
My time and understanding is very limited since I'm not a biologist, but I like a lot to know what you are working on. Sure papers are really interesting for advanced biologist who can deeply understand what are you doing, I wish you think too in people like me interested in science, but a more "higher" level.
