Well we eventually never needed to switch teams to get the ability to earn GRC.

The Gridcoin team requirement was removed several years ago.

I was part of the development team testing the no team requirement changes.

Currently have a large GRC balance earned from crunching for BOINC projects and still a member of the GPU Users Group team.
