I have a boinc manager toy which controls my machines on distance called boincview.
And i have never looked at the processing power used for the given projects.
Since for cpu projects the outcome is almost allways the same the fastest machine gives the best result.
But on GPU projects is a totally other matter, i see that on my laptop with a 8400M-G buildin VC it shows when doing a seti project that it seems to have 60,84 MFlops processing power
While Gpugrid on my 9600 GT only shows an average of about 35 MFlops
Now to my knowledge should my 9600 GT be much faster then the laptop card or am i mistaken.

Well, boincview knows absolutely nothing about your GPUs processing speed...
The processing speed in MFLOPs it shows is only based on the CPU benchmarks and the CPU percentage used by the application. It has nothing to do with the real speed of the GPU... At least that's how I understand it, please somebody correct me if I'm wrong... ;)

Yes, Boincview is not going to give you useful information about GPU tasks. Boincview hasn't been updated in a few years, and likely won't be updated again. It's website is gone, and the program is no longer supported. Since the source code isn't available, it's unlikely anyone is going to be able to update the project.

From reading the BOINC release notes, it's clear that the BOINC developers are doing their best to make sure that future releases of the BOINC client are compatible with Boincview, but there's nothing they can do to make Boincview understand totally new concepts.

Bottom line is that Boincview doesn't understand about GPUs and it's very unlikely that it ever will.

Best bet is to hope for someone to write a totally new multi-computer BOINC manager, or for the BOINC team to improve the manager that comes with BOINC to include multi-computer logic and an imbedded MySQL database to track your old results.

Thanx for explain this to me.
Its indeed not a big deal as long as my units keep flowing ;)
But i fear there is not gonna be anyone having so much time on their hands to start all over again since nobody has the code.
I have written some emails when the site was still up for release the code to the public but never got an answer.
It looks like the creator is no longer living or has had a dramatical turn in his life which led to the fall of this project.
